Bekriah Mawasiبكريّة مواسي
Bekriah Mawasi is a Palestinian writer and translator whose work spans non-fiction prose, short stories, poetry, illustration and photography. Her writing has appeared in several platforms including Jeem, Al-Jumhuriya, Mada Masr and Rusted Radishes. Her recent publications include On Naming and Translating in Palestine (2022) and Ghayr Wared fel Hosban (Unforeseen, 2024).
Bekriah has also participated in artistic and collaborative projects, such as Stuttering Gestures (2022), a performance collaboration with artist Alaa Abu Saad presented as part of Read the Room, a festival organized by Mophradat in Brussels; and the group exhibition I Shall Carve the Sun’s Words (2025) with curator Reem Shadid at the A.M. Qattan Foundation.
كاتبة ومترجمة فلسطينية، تتنوع أعمالها بين النصوص النثرية غير الروائية والقصص القصيرة والشعر والرسومات التصويرية والصور الفوتوغرافية. نُشرت كتاباتها في عدة منصات من بينها جيم والجمهورية ومدى مصر ومجلة فمْ. من نصوصها الأخيرة: "غير وارد في الحسبان" في 2024، و"حول التسمية والترجمة في فلسطين" في 2022. كما شاركت في مشاريع فنية وتعاونية منها المعرض الجماعي "سأنقش كلمات الشمس" في 2025 مع ريم شديد في مؤسسة عبد المحسن القطان، وعرض "إيماءات غير مكتملة" في 2022، وهو تعاون أدائي مع علاء أبو أسعد قُدِّم ضمن مهرجان "اقرأوا الغرفة" الذي نظمته مؤسسة مفردات في أثينا وبروكسل.
